Before & After :: Blanket Chest

A new client contacted us about refinishing an antique chest.  It's a piece that's been in her family for awhile.

Here is how it looked when she first brought it over:



It's really a cool piece with lots of details. We decided to paint it Annie Sloan's Old White, distress it and then apply dark wax.

Here's how it turned out:





Isn't this just a fun piece?! It would look so great in either a family room or in a bedroom at the foot of a bed. There's plenty of room to store blankets, pillows or other linens.  Lovely!

    Your pieces are all so beautiful. You really have an eye for bringing out the lines and details. I have a question for you. I am wanting to start doing some custom work. How do you determine a price when someone brings you a piece to work on?
